Terms of Business
All prices include VAT at the appropriate rate. We accept all major credit and debit cards instore and over the phone and through our website.
All goods remain the property of The Baby Barn until full payment has been received. Goods will only be despatched once full payment and delivery costs, where applicable, has been cleared. By placing an order you have deemed to agree to all of our Terms and Conditions of The Baby Barn.
Products advertised on this website are subject to development and changes.
We reserve the right to alter specifications without prior notice.
All weights and measurements shown in product details are approximate.
We do not despatch part orders unless an item is out of stock and on an extended lead time, thus delaying the despatch of a larger order. We may, in this case, despatch a part order at no extra cost to you.
£4.95 charge for orders under £50. For orders over £50 there is a £9.95 delivery charge.
Free of charge delivery for large orders over £500 in a 20 mile radius of our store. Any further afield, larger items will subject to courier charges. Items delivered will not be assembled.
Orders will be despatched by either Royal Mail or courier. When an item is in stock with us, then please allow 3 – 5 working days for delivery.
We only deliver to UK mainland. We do not ship overseas.
From time to time we sell some ex-display products to make way for new lines. This is a great opportunity to grab a pram, travel system or furniture at a fraction of retail price. All ex-display items come with their brands warranty and customer service that we offer to you after collection of your product. All Ex-Display items are collection only and sold as seen. We do not courier or post ex-display items as they are already assembled and used. We look after our display and demonstration items as best we can however there will sometimes be marks and scuffs which will be pointed out to you up collection or demonstration of the product.
Warranty and Refunds
All products purchased from The Baby Barn carry a manufacturer’s warranty.

You must provide us with proof of purchase before any warranty or repair can be accepted.
All goods, which develop a manufacturing fault within 28 days, will be exchanged.
Its not an easy subject to talk about but we feel its important to be clear on where you stand with your purchase in the unfortunate case of a miscarriage or stillbirth. We are here for you and your family and would like to reassure you that you will receive a full refund on any payments made on your order. If you have collected the goods from us already we will come and collect them from you at a time to suit you to prevent any further distress. Processing the online order
We will keep you informed of the progress of your order and will try to despatch orders from stock within seven working days. Parcels are delivered by Royal Mail, DPD, or Hermes generally on a 72 hour delivery scheme. If the item ordered is out of stock, you will be contacted to be informed of how long it will take to fulfil your order. Please note that larger items such as prams and furniture can take up to 12 weeks. If contacting us about your order, please use your order number and the surname the order was placed under. Please remember that we are closed on Mondays & Sundays, so no items will be despatched on these days, as they are not a working days for us.
Cancellation of online orders.
You have the right to cancel your order within seven days of receiving your goods.
The item must be returned in its original condition and in its original packaging, with your order number, name and address attached, plus the reason why you are returning it. The product must be unused and with all point of sale labels attached. In these circumstances you will be responsible for meeting the full cost of the return carriage, which must be met before any refund can be processed. Where carriage was payable before delivery, the carriage will not be reimbursed. We will endeavour to process refunds within 14 days of receipt of the returned goods, as per the distance selling regulations. Please make sure that you include the information requested otherwise there may be delays in processing your refund.
WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS FOR ANY SPECIAL ORDER PRODUCTS (i.e. items not normally held in stock by ourselves, made to measure mattresses, nappies and associated products, and pre-cut fabrics). When ordering pre-assembled furniture, please check to see that it will access your home, go up the stairs and fit into the nursery. Please note that may incur an additional charge from some of our furniture suppliers if insufficient access is not available on delivery. If an order is cancelled, but has already been despatched, then you will be responsible for all return costs. All courier deliveries must be signed for at the designated delivery address given at the time of ordering. Please make sure that you write on the docket “unchecked” under you signature. Should the parcel look damaged in any way, please make a note of it on the docket and let us know by e-mail immediately. The Baby Barn will not be held responsible for any loss incurred if provided with a wrong delivery address or if the goods are signed for by another party.
