5 Local Things To Do With A Baby Or Toddler This Summer.
Hey, we’ve all been there – absolutely stuck for inspiration on what to do for a day out and then Mum guilt sets in. Well, I hope these next 5 trips will help you discover a new place in the Warwickshire area without braking the bank (we all know the Maternity pay doesn’t go very far!)
Ryton Pools County Park
With 2 play parks and the option of a 10minute walk around the lake or the option of extending that walk, you can really make the most of your time there. Parking for the day is £3 for 3 hours. Be sure to take your debit card as they don’t take coins or apple pay (I have been caught out so many times) They also have a lovely café which at the moment is operating via a take away it’s the perfect parent destination.
Stratford Butterfly Farm
A perfect activity to plan a half or full day in Stratford around. Under 3’s are FREE, over 3s are £6.95 and Adults are £7.95 (family tickets are available too). This is the perfect destination if you have a baby and want to do something abit different when exploring sensory play. If you have a older toddler – they have a butterfly book (£1) too which is brilliant as it turns into abit of a treasurer hunt.
Cotswold Farm Park
A fantastic family day out at the weekend or head over on Toddler Tuesdays! Toddler Tuesdays 2-3 years olds are FREE with a paying adult up until the 20th July.
The Farm Park is constantly changing and expanding and now includes Messy Play area so be sure to explore! https://cotswoldfarmpark.co.uk/
Coventry Transport Museum
A perfect destination for those mini engineers, the transport museum host sessions that offer a wide variety of play sessions as well as open opportunity to visit the largest public collection of vehicles in the world!
Cotswold Lavendar
Cotswold Lavendar is the venue for all those picturesque photos you see over Instagram of people picnicking and playing in-between rows of lavender. Pop by to Broadway Tower and make a day of it too!
